Building Optimization Analysis (BOA) Tool
Building Optimization Analysis (BOA) tool is an Excel® spreadsheet-based tool designed to streamline and standardize the energy savings calculation process for engineering service providers working under the retrocommissioning (RCx) programs for five California utilities: Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison Company (SCE), Southern California Gas Company (SoCal Gas), San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E), and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). The BOA tool targets commercial buildings and allows providers to calculate energy and peak demand savings for thirteen common controls- and schedule-based commercial building optimization measures.
